Kelli N. Dunlap, PsyD is a doctor of clinical psychology and currently a Fellow in the Masters of Game Design program at American University. Dr. Dunlap’s research and clinical interests focus on the interaction between technology and mental health. She has presented at venues ranging from the Penny Arcade Expo to the Maryland Psychological Association on the intersection of games and psychology including using video games in the therapy room, how neuropsychology influences our perception of media, and addressing myths associated with video games, violence, and mental health. Dr. Dunlap is published in Games and Health Journal for her work in integrating game design into group therapy for veterans at the VA and she has won several awards and scholarships for her work in the area of psychology and technology.
